Hi! I’m Shawna-

(She/her) A local to this area, but a traveler at heart. My journey has taken me from Southeast Asia to Central America, among other beautiful places. Along the way, I’ve had the joy of connecting with people from all walks of life. Experiencing different ways of moving and living has deepened my empathy, expanded my worldview, and continues to shape how I show up in my work and in my community: with attentiveness, compassion, and an understanding of the power of movement.

Professional Background:

I’m a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and a Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) with a degree in Applied Science. With over two decades of dance experience, being a dance instructor and active performer— movement is truly at the heart of what I do.

I have experience working in an acute care hospital setting as a COTA, where I developed a strong foundation in safety, adaptability, and meeting people’s individual pacing. Over time, this experience has continued to inform how I approach my work. I carry my training and perspective with me, while continuing to honor the appropriate scope of my role. It has shaped a more holistic way of thinking, one that supports the whole person and emphasizes meaningful connection, sustainability, and overall well-being. This led me to explore ways of supporting people that allow for more continuity, deeper connection, and a broader, more integrative approach.

In my free time, you can find me skateboarding with my hubby, being a lizard in the sun, cuddling with my kitty furbabies, watching horror films, or enjoying literally any kind of fruit I can get my hands on.
